 Spikenard is a plant that grows in the Himalayan Mountains (India, Nepal, Tibet) and belongs to the Valerian family. In India, it is used in Ayurvedic medicine for its calming properties for the respiratory and cardiac systems, as well as for its characteristic musky, woody and spicy aroma. The essential oil is obtained from the rhizome.
